Palma Bucarelli's poster collection debuts at Fondazione Cirulli
The Fondazione Massimo e Sonia Cirulli in San Lazzaro di Savena (BO) has acquired and is now displaying, for the first time, the graphic art collection of Palma Bucarelli, one of the most influential Italian art critics of the 20th century. For over thirty years as director of the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rome, Bucarelli amassed exhibition posters from galleries, museums, fairs, and kunsthalle worldwide, creating a visual history of exhibitions from the 1960s and 1970s. The collection is integrated into the ongoing show "L'archivio animato. Lavori in corso," which runs until May 17 at the historic building designed in 1960 by architects Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Dino Gavina, a symbol of modern Italian architecture. The installation occupies a raw annex space adjacent to the main building.
