Palinurobar Opens in Milan's Piola District as a Wine Bar and Cultural Hub
Palinurobar, a new wine bar focused on culture, has opened at Via Paisiello 28 in Milan's Piola district, near Futurdome and Bar Basso. The venue offers over 500 natural wine labels from regions including Carso, Chile, Etna, and Jura, alongside a curated selection of design, music, magazines, and artist books. The name is inspired by Nino Buonocore's 1980 song. The founding team includes Antonio Crescente (owner), Nicola Nunziata (visual artist and designer), Fabrizio Vatieri (visual artist, musician, and DJ), and Davide Coppo (writer and copywriter for Rivista Studio). The space retains its original 1980s wooden interiors, including the bar counter and wall paneling, integrated with new pieces such as P08 chairs designed by Justus Kolberg for Tecno in 1991. The bar features a consultable newsstand with international food and beverage periodicals and artist books. Music is integral, with a console and turntables for live sessions by artists and producers. The team plans to host presentations and exhibitions, with collaborations for Milan Design Week in the works. Open daily from 5:30 PM to midnight.
