Palermo's October 2018 Art Scene Beyond Manifesta
As the conclusion of Manifesta 12 approaches on November 4, 2018, Palermo, recognized as the Italian Capital of Culture this year, is set to host three notable exhibitions throughout October. The first, titled 'I Never Promised You a Rose Garden,' features works by artists such as Alessandro Calabrese and Dora García, and will be on display from October 11 to 31 at Frontiera Studio, then at Minimum from October 18 to November 3. A second exhibition, '#18ESPLORAZIONI. Nuove mappe per la fotografia,' is curated by Benedetta Donato and displays new Sicilian photography until October 21 at Église. Additionally, 'Foresta Urbana,' curated by Paolo Falcone, opens on October 26 at Palazzo Riso and Piazza Bologni, and will run until January 20, 2019, exploring the theme of urban forests.
