Palazzo Te in Mantua reopens restaurant and launches cultural hub Spazio Te

In Mantua, Palazzo Te has officially opened the revamped Spazio Te, a cultural venue and bar-restaurant operated by Villa Della Torre, part of the Marilisa Allegrini Group. Director Stefano Baia Curioni discussed upcoming initiatives, including facade restoration, a new auditorium, artist residencies, and necessary roof repairs from the 2012 earthquake. The contemporary art program features the $2 million Isaac Julien exhibition, which does not merely use Giulio Romano's work as a backdrop. The restaurant will remain accessible even when the museum is closed, promoting connections between the city and the museum. Caterina Mastella Allegrini emphasized the importance of cultural partnerships, while Marilisa Allegrini noted the role in enhancing cultural tourism.
