Palazzo Strozzi reports record 340,000 visitors in 2022

In 2022, Palazzo Strozzi in Florence achieved unprecedented success, welcoming more than 340,000 visitors and involving over 80,000 individuals in educational programs. Highlight exhibitions featured a Donatello retrospective, which attracted 150,000 attendees at Palazzo Strozzi and 117,000 at the Bargello. The digital art initiative Let's Get Digital! drew in excess of 26,000 visitors, while Olafur Eliasson's Nel tuo tempo welcomed over 163,000 guests. The foundation reported earnings of €10.6 million, with 39% derived from ticket sales and 38% from private funding. Total expenses reached €10 million, with 69% allocated to exhibitions. These exhibitions had an estimated economic impact of €114 million on Florence. Upcoming events include Yan Pei-Ming (July 7–September 3, 2023) and Anish Kapoor (October 7, 2023–January 28, 2024).
