Palazzo Strozzi 2024: Anselm Kiefer and Helen Frankenthaler exhibitions

Palazzo Strozzi in Florence has unveiled its exhibition schedule for 2024, which includes two prominent contemporary art displays. "Angeli caduti" (Fallen Angels), a solo showcase by Anselm Kiefer, will run from March 22 to July 28, curated by Arturo Galansino, featuring both historical and new pieces that delve into themes of memory, myth, war, and existence. Following this, "Dipingere senza regole" (Painting Without Rules), a retrospective of Helen Frankenthaler curated by Douglas Dreishpoon, is set for September 28, 2024, to January 26, 2025, highlighting works from 1953 to 2002 alongside comparisons with her contemporaries. The exhibition program will also include installations and activities in the courtyard, along with a public program. Since 2006, Palazzo Strozzi has hosted over 60 exhibitions, including recent highlights like a Donatello exhibit and a solo show by Olafur Eliasson.
