Palazzo Monti opens second Brescia space Fertile in former glassworks
On March 22, 2025, Palazzo Monti will open a second venue in Brescia called Fertile, located at Via Arnaldo Soldini 47 in a former glassworks. The 300-square-meter space includes a 120-square-meter private courtyard, exhibition areas for temporary and permanent collections, artist studios, design spaces, part of the private collection archive, multifunctional rooms, a kitchen, and an internal hydroponic garden. The opening coincides with the spring equinox and the eighth anniversary of Palazzo Monti's debut on March 22, 2017. Founder Edoardo Monti, together with Luca Cremona and Sole Castelbarco Albani, leads the project. Monti stated that Fertile represents a major investment in the future and reaffirms trust with the local community amid uncertainty and challenges in the art world. Since 2022, the Palazzo Monti Art Trust has been established, involving 12 collectors and art enthusiasts, to create and maintain a unified collection of works created at Palazzo Monti through annual contributions and equal shareholding.
