Palazzo Maffei Verona Launches COLORart Video Series on Color in Art History
In February, Palazzo Maffei, a museum house located in Verona, opened its doors and subsequently introduced COLORart on April 14. This weekly video series on social media delves into the theme of color through the lenses of visual arts, music, and literature, drawing inspiration from Wassily Kandinsky's idea of color as a keyboard. Produced in partnership with Teatro Stabile di Verona, the series features Paolo Valerio in both acting and directing roles. Kicking off with the color blue, it explores its historical significance from ancient illuminated manuscripts and the museum’s Blue Salon to contemporary pieces by artists such as René Magritte and Lucio Fontana. Visitors are encouraged to engage by sharing their feelings and memories related to each color on social media.
