Palazzo Citterio Garden Bistrot Opens for Summer 2025 in Milan

Palazzo Citterio, which opened in December 2024 as the final piece of the Grande Brera project, now unveils a new outdoor space for the city. The garden of the 18th-century complex, renovated by Mario Cucinella, connects the Pinacoteca di Brera with the museum's halls housing the Jesi and Vitali donations—over 200 works by major Italian and international artists including Carrà, Morandi, Boccioni, Modigliani, Picasso, and Braque. Free admission to the garden is available Tuesday through Sunday from 11am to 10pm. A temporary bistrot called Citterio Garden, operated by AFM Banqueting, has opened at via Brera, 12, offering light lunches and aperitifs in a green setting throughout summer 2025. Until the end of July, a guided tour of Grande Brera (75 minutes, €8 extra on top of the entry ticket) includes a stop at the bistrot with a 10% discount on an aperitivo. Last summer, the same space hosted a temporary café by Carlo Cracco linked to a Swarovski exhibition. Concurrent exhibitions include Pietro Geranzani's Anteguerra (until August 31), Chiara Dynys's Once Again (until September 7), and a tribute to the 60th anniversary of the magazine Linus in the Cortile d'Onore of the Pinacoteca, featuring original boards, iconic covers, and a special homage to Altan on the 50th anniversary of Pimpa and Cipputi.
