Palazzo Brancaccio in Rome Opens as Major Private Cultural Hub
Palazzo Brancaccio, a 19th-century palace on Colle Oppio, reopens on September 23, 2021, as Rome's largest private cultural center. The project is a collaboration between Contemporary Cluster (Giacomo Guidi and Giorgia Cerulli) and SPAZIO FIELD (Andrea Azzarone). Contemporary Cluster moves from Palazzo Cavallerini to Via Merulana 248, rebranding as Contemporary Cluster [Collective Intelligence]. The venue includes SPAZIO FIELD for events, Tube (a 130 sqm immersive corridor curated by Visioni Parallele Creative Studio), the Africano space for young artists with a Faro Specialty Coffee café and Edicola 518 bookshop, and Apartamento (a 600 sqm design apartment on the sixth floor by architect Giorgia Cerulli) hosting the Cluster Atelier residency. Partners include Numero Cromatico, Ginnika, Drago Publisher, LABA, Legacy Academy Of Tattooing, Perimetro, Live Cinema Festival, Purple Brain, and Tmag. The opening event is the eighth Live Cinema Festival (September 23–26), directed by Claudio Guerrieri, featuring international and local artists, and a symposium titled "Seeing sounds. Performing audiovisuals in real-time, AI and future cinema."
