Palazzo Bollani mostra l'evoluzione della scultura dall'artigianale al digitale

In conjunction with the 2025 Biennale di Architettura, Palazzo Bollani di Venezia is hosting the exhibition 'The idea of sculpture, from the hand to the robot,' curated by Roberta Semeraro and Giovanna Cicutto. This showcase examines the evolution from traditional craftsmanship to digital sculpture, featuring works that range from Renaissance sketches to pieces created using artificial intelligence. Among the highlights are three works by Michelangelo, including a male torso from around 1540, a seated figure study from 1524-1525, and a study of three nudes. Additionally, eleven sculptures by Cuban artist Helena Bacardi, displayed in Italy for the first time, were crafted with AI software in Carrara and Madrid. The exhibition also includes seventeen pieces from the Museo dei Bozzetti di Pietrasanta by artists such as Botero and Mitoraj.
