Palaexpo's 2022 Program: Video Art, Pasolini, and Cinzia Ruggeri in Rome

Palaexpo, the contemporary art center in Rome, revealed its 2022 agenda at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni. President Cesare Pietroiusti emphasized the importance of continuity and dialogue, while Clara Tosi Pamphili presented a concept of an 'expanded network.' Noteworthy events include 'Il video rende felici,' curated by Valentina Valentini, starting April 12, and the World Press Photo exhibition running from April 27 to June 12. A significant exhibition focused on Pier Paolo Pasolini, titled 'Pier Paolo Pasolini. Tutto è santo,' is set to open on October 18, co-organized with Galleria Nazionale di Arte Antica and MAXXI. At Macro, artistic director Luca Lo Pinto has planned twenty exhibitions, including a retrospective of Cinzia Ruggeri beginning March 16. Mattatoio will launch on February 24 with Teresa Margolles' installation. Assessor Miguel Gotor mentioned PNRR funding for urban renewal, while Pietroiusti hinted at a return to art without announcing a successor.
