Paesaggi in Movimento: art residencies in Campania's rural areas
Paesaggi in Movimento is a cultural project funded by the Regione Campania with support from Scabec Spa, aiming to reinterpret rural and inland territories through contemporary art. The project includes works by artists Giovanni Gaggia, who worked in Buonalbergo, and Gianni Papa, active in Ginestra degli Schiavoni. Artistic director Alessandro Capuano describes the territory as "extreme," rich in historical and cultural elements, gaining new light through a rethinking and revitalization of places. The project features field residencies using audio and video recordings focusing on peculiar elements, privileging the human face of those who inhabit and preserve the memory of these places, bearers of thoughts, feelings, stories, and memories. Capuano emphasizes a resilient vision where the gaze between past and present intersects to look to the future, stating that "courage lies in staying, not in leaving."
