PAD London turns 10, opening Frieze Week in Mayfair with 65 exhibitors
PAD London, marking its tenth anniversary, is set to begin on October 3, 2016, at Berkeley Square in Mayfair, coinciding with Frieze Week. The venue's signature black pavilion has been revamped to a bright white, hosting 65 exhibitors worldwide. A standout presence from Italy includes Galleria Mazzoleni, showcasing renowned post-war artists like Lucio Fontana and Michelangelo Pistoletto. Galleria Nilufar will present contemporary design at stand B16, while Leonardo Farsetti from Florence expresses excitement about participating. The fair captures the essence of a chic Parisian boutique, featuring numerous French galleries. Highlights include a solo show of Michele Oka Doner by David Gill and Nobuyoshi Araki’s photographs. The Italian Sale is on Thursday at Christie's and Friday at Sotheby's.
