Paciu Maison: A Livable Artwork Near Bologna

Paciu Maison, a house-artwork in Ponte Rizzoli near Bologna, Italy, is a living art project founded by young artist Harry Baldissera. The multi-story building, which retains its historical farmhouse exterior, transforms interior spaces—rooms, stairs, corridors—into immersive, colorful environments designed to engage visitors. Each room has a distinct theme: the Sala della maschera is filled with jackets, scarves, ties, and mirrors, prompting reflection on identity, while the Sala del convivio features a table, sofa, books, and a typewriter, encouraging shared moments and thoughts. The house functions as an artist residency, workshop space, event venue, and public exhibition, open on weekends with guided tours by the founder. Since 2016, Baldissera has lived there, and the artistic project officially launched four years later. Paciu Maison collaborates with external organizations such as Teatro delle Moline in Bologna, for which it created the set design for the play L'autobiografia di Keith Richards, and served as a location for the short film Truth by director Renato Giugliano. The project aims to blur the line between art and life, offering an emotional journey to help visitors reconnect with their inner world.
