Pace Gallery launches permanent NFT platform with cryptocurrency payments

digital · 2026-04-20

Pace Gallery is launching a permanent digital platform for selling NFTs made by artists and showcasing NFT artworks. This new venture will begin in September with a solo exhibition featuring digital prints from Lucas Samaras. The gallery’s first online sales director, Christiana Ine-Kimba Boyle, will oversee the platform. Marc Glimcher, the president of Pace, expressed his enthusiasm for cryptocurrency, highlighting his ongoing investment in digital assets and the convenience of processing cryptocurrency payments. Back in April, Pace teamed up with Fair Warning, an auction app by former Christie's expert Loïc Gouzer, to auction Urs Fischer's NFT, CHAOS #1 Human, which fetched $97,700. Fischer decided to work with Pace and Fair Warning after Gagosian suggested he wait to enter the NFT space.
