exhibition · 2026-04-26

From July 4 to September 14, 2025, the PAC – Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea di Milano will present the inaugural Italian retrospective of artists John Lovett and Alessandro Codagnone, entitled "I Only Want You to Love Me." This exhibition, curated by Diego Sileo in collaboration with Participant Inc, spans over twenty years of their artistic endeavors across various mediums. Lovett/Codagnone, who began their partnership in 1995, delve into the complexities of power within relationships. Notable pieces featured include Love Vigilantes (2007), Stripped (2006), and Make Anarchy and Disorder Your Trademarks (2012). The title of the exhibition draws inspiration from their neon installation I Only Want You to Love Me (2004–2025). Additionally, the PAC's Project Room will display "Matrimoni imperfetti," curated by Giulia Zompa, showcasing the impact of Galleria Emi Fontana from 1992 to 2009.
