Pabellón Sofía by Estúdio Leonardo Zanatta Opens in São Paulo

architecture-design · 2026-05-08

Estúdio Leonardo Zanatta has completed the Pabellón Sofía, a 680-square-meter commercial architecture project in São Paulo, Brazil. Curated by Susanna Moreira, the pavilion is designed to minimize earth movement by incorporating the site's natural slope into the spatial solution. Located in a consolidated urban context dominated by high-rise residential buildings, the structure serves as an intermediate-scale element that contrasts with its surroundings. The project team includes Anna Schmutzler, Nathalia Wehmuth, Lucas Carilli, and Davi Erbs, with coordination by Henrique Azevedo and Leonardo Zanatta, who also served as the lead architect. Photographs were taken by Israel Gollino.
