P.S. Art 2016: NYC Student Works at the Met and Times Square
The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is showcasing "P.S. Art 2016: Celebrating the Creative Spirit of NYC Kids" from June 14 to October 23. This exhibition highlights 89 pieces created by public school students from kindergarten through high school across all five boroughs. Art forms include painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, collage, and mixed media. Out of 1,205 submissions, 420 were shortlisted before the final selection. This year, select works will also be featured on Times Square displays, while the museum promotes young talent through social media and a video by The New York Times reflecting students’ artistic achievements.
