Ozmo's 24-Meter Mural and Exhibition in San Francisco
Italian street artist Ozmo (born 1975 in Pontedera) has completed a monumental 11 x 24 meter mural titled 'Untitled' on the wall of the historic Mitchell Brothers O' Farrell Theatre in San Francisco's Tenderloin district. The work reinterprets Édouard Manet's 'Déjeuner sur l'herbe' in a pop style, blending contemporary icons like Barbie with classical mythology figures such as the Minotaur, merging sacred and profane nudity. Concurrently, from July 1 to August 31, the FIFTY24SF Gallery is hosting his solo exhibition 'Ferro e Oro,' featuring new works and paintings on recycled PVC. Ozmo's urban interventions have appeared in cities including New York, Miami, Chicago, Baltimore, London, Berlin, Moscow, São Paulo, Havana, Beirut, and several Italian cities. His works have been exhibited at Italian museums such as Palazzo della Ragione, PAC, and Palazzo Reale in Milan, and the Museo del 900 dedicated a solo show to him.
