Over 500 Italian Historic Estates Open Free to Public on May 21
On May 21, 2023, the 13th National Day of the Association of Italian Historic Houses (ADSI) will open over 500 castles, fortresses, villas, parks, and gardens free of charge across Italy. Founded in 1977, ADSI aims to promote these culturally significant sites, allowing visitors to explore them in the presence of owners who share anecdotes and preservation challenges. Additionally, ADSI and Photolux Festival, in collaboration with Instagramers Italia ETS, launch the #challengeadsi2023 Instagram contest. Participants post photos, carousels, reels, or stories using the hashtag and mentioning @dimore_storiche_italiane, @photoluxfest, and @weareigersit. The 25 best digital contents of courtyards, gardens, and exteriors will form a virtual exhibition on ADSI and Photolux Festival websites. One winner selected by a jury will receive a special visit to a historic house in their city.
