Over 500 Attend Maxxi's Annual Fundraising Gala in Rome
On November 13, the Maxxi museum in Rome hosted its annual Acquisition Gala Dinner, drawing in over 500 distinguished guests from diverse fields. Due to the large turnout, the event took place across two galleries to accommodate everyone. President Giovanna Melandri jokingly remarked that next year’s dinner might be held in the underground garage. This gala coincided with the launch of autumn exhibitions, such as 'Home Beirut. Sounding The Neighbors,' curated by Hou Hanru and Giulia Ferracci, which showcases the works of Tarek Atoui and Mazen Kerbaj. Chef Cristina Bowerman prepared a unique fusion menu, with dessert crafted by Hussein Hadid. Among the notable attendees were brands like Armani and Bulgari, as well as Oscar winners Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo. Melandri also announced the establishment of the American Friends of Maxxi association.
