Over 350 Italian State Museums Open on Ferragosto 2017

On August 15, 2017, more than 350 museums and cultural locations across Italy will extend their hours. The Uffizi Gallery in Florence, along with Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens, will remain accessible until 21:50, featuring the #UffiziLive event with Vincanto and Francesca Breschi. In Naples, the Museo di Capodimonte presents works by Van Dyck and Jan Fabre in Naturalia e Mirabilia. Municipal museums in Rome, Venice, and Turin will operate as usual, with evening activities in Rome, including performances at Fori di Augusto e di Cesare and Shakespeare at the Silvano Toti Globe Theatre. On August 14 and 15, admission to Turin's civic museums is just €1. Venice's Ca' Pesaro will host a David Hockney exhibition starting August 14, while Genoa's Palazzo Ducale offers a combined ticket for its exhibitions. Brescia's civic museums provide free entry to Mimmo Paladino's Ouverture, and Gallerie d'Italia allows free access at all three locations.
