The vessel, operated by Ambassador Cruise Line, arrived in Bordeaux on Tuesday with 1,233 passengers, mostly from Britain or Ireland, and 514 Indian crew members. About 50 people showed symptoms of gastrointestinal issues, with peak symptoms occurring Monday while docked in Brest. Initial tests ruled out norovirus, but secondary tests continue; food poisoning has not been excluded.
