Otto Gabos graphic novel explores Francisco Goya's life and art
Sardinian cartoonist Otto Gabos has created a new graphic novel about Francisco Goya, titled "Francisco Goya. La tentazione dell'abisso," published by 24 ORE Cultura. The book blends illustrated essay and fictional biography, documenting Gabos's creative process and struggles in depicting the Spanish master. It features colored pencils, wax and oil pastels to reconstruct key biographical episodes and Goya's grotesque imagery. The volume launches 24 ORE Cultura's new series of artist biopics and coincides with the exhibition "Goya. La ribellione della ragione" at Palazzo Reale in Milan, running until March 3. Gabos previously tackled Egon Schiele in his graphic novel "Il corpo struggente."
