Other Size Gallery Opens in Milan with Christian Leperino's 'Babel'
Other Size Gallery, a new multidisciplinary space in Milan, opens on February 22, 2018, with the exhibition 'Babel' by Christian Leperino, curated by Maria Savarese. The gallery is part of Workness, a multicultural concept in the Porta Romana district designed by Ettore Filograna. Workness includes a bistrot, a bar-bookshop with live music, a dance space, and the gallery itself. Leperino (born 1979, Naples) is known for founding SMMAVE, a contemporary art center in Naples' Santa Maria della Misericordia ai Vergini church in 2015. His work explores metropolitan perspectives and the relationship between urban form and human condition, using large-scale PVC works. 'Babel' draws inspiration from the biblical Tower of Babel as a parallel to contemporary society. The gallery is founded by Sergio Filograna, a Salento entrepreneur based in Milan. Future plans include a spring group show based on Casa Sponge's decade-long experience in the Marche region, founded by artist Giovanni Gaggia. The exhibition runs until April 22, 2018, at Via Andrea Maffei 1, Milan.
