Other Size Gallery delivers exhibition by mail in postcard format
During Italy's COVID-19 lockdown, Other Size Gallery in Milan launched a mail-based exhibition called 'Il mondo non si è fermato mai un momento' (The world never stopped for a moment). This show is the second part of a four-part photography series, following Stefano De Luigi's focus on 1990s television. To cope with the inability to host visitors, the gallery put together eight postcard-sized photographs from artists including Michela Battaglia and Davide Bertuccio. From May 20 to July 8, 2020, one postcard was mailed each week to the first 200 people who responded via email, coinciding with the easing of restrictions. Curator Giusi Affronti described the project as a mix of personal stories reflecting Italy's shared experience during the pandemic.
