Ostrale Biennale in Dresden Features Italian Artists with Works on Reform
The contemporary art exhibition Ostrale in Dresden, Germany, transitioned to a biennial format, debuting on July 28, 2017, at Ostragehege. Titled "Re_form," the 11th edition focuses on societal reform achieved through peaceful means. Curated by Mykola Dzhychka, Oliver Kratz, Detlef Schweiger, and Holger Wendland, with artistic direction from Andrea Hilger, the event showcases 164 artists from 25 nations, presenting over 1,000 works primarily housed in a former slaughterhouse designed by Hans Erlwein. Among the Italian contributors are Elisa D'Urbano, Francesco Palluzzi, Cristiano Petrucci, Diamante Faraldo, Paolo Assenza, and Giovanni Gaggia. This biennial exhibition will continue until October 1, 2017.
