Oscar-winning animated short 'The Windshield Wiper' features Italian animator Marco Regina

The animated short film 'The Windshield Wiper' won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film on March 27, 2022. Written, directed, and animated by Spanish filmmaker Alberto Mielgo, the 15-minute film explores the question 'What is love?' through a series of interconnected vignettes. The production team includes Italian animator Marco Regina from Matera, who served as Head of Animation. The film features minimal dialogue and a soundtrack by Soko with the song 'We Might Be Dead by Tomorrow'. Mielgo co-produced the film with Leo Sanchez and Pinkman.tv.
