Oscar Tuazon curates 'Something in the water' at MAXXI Rome
The MAXXI museum in Rome is currently hosting 'Something in the water', a collective exhibition organized by Oscar Tuazon and Elena Motisi, which will be open until September 21. Situated in the Gianferrari hall, this exhibition delves into the concept of water as both a metaphor and a crucial medium for artists, representing a new phase of Tuazon's 'Water School' initiative. Featured works include Tuazon's 'Ocean Pavilion' alongside contributions from artists such as Lita Albuquerque, Peter Sandbichler, and Matthew Barney. At the same time, until September 21, 'Stop drawing. Architetture oltre il disegno', curated by Pippo Ciorra, displays architectural sketches from the MAXXI Architecture Collection, highlighting renowned figures like Carlo Scarpa and Aldo Rossi, as well as various projects by architects and activists.
