Orvieto Cinema Fest 2025 opens call for illustrators on the theme of the sacred

festival-fair · 2026-04-26

The eighth edition of Orvieto Cinema Fest, scheduled for September 21–28, 2025, has launched a call for illustrators with the theme of the sacred. Organizers Stefania Fausto and Sara Carpinelli emphasize the festival's commitment to giving space to new voices. The sacred is interpreted broadly, encompassing spirituality, the link between human and transcendent, and its evolving manifestations in a secularized world—through beauty, nature, and collective ideals. The call is open to young illustrators, both professionals and amateurs, residing in Italy or abroad. Entries must be original A3 works in CMYK at 300 DPI, any technique, submitted by July 7, 2025, 23:59, via email to [email protected]. The registration fee is €5. Selected illustrations will be exhibited during the festival and published on official materials and social channels. A jury, to be announced later, will select a winner who receives €300; 15 finalists will also exhibit. The festival aims to bridge visual and cinematic languages, with the historic city of Orvieto as backdrop.
