Orion Yachts Launches First Superyacht, the 144-Foot Orion One
Orion Yachts, located in Yalova, Turkey, has unveiled its inaugural superyacht, the 141-foot Orion One. This vessel is crafted for the sub-499GT segment, showcasing both exterior and interior designs by Red Yacht Design, while Alfa Marine Design handled the naval architecture. It boasts a steel displacement hull and an aluminum superstructure, offering an interior volume of 480 GT. Orion One can host 12 guests across five staterooms, including a main deck owner's suite with a fold-down balcony. Notable features include a flybridge equipped with a hot tub, outdoor dining spaces, and lounges. With twin Caterpillar engines, it cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots, and has a range of 1,500 nautical miles. Construction commenced in 2022 at Hersek shipyard in Yalova, with sea trials scheduled for next month and final delivery forthcoming. It is currently available for purchase through Fraser Yachts for €22 million ($25.9 million). Fatih Sürekli, managing director of Red Yacht Design, praised the yacht's spaciousness, comfort, and functionality, while Cihan Sandıkçıoğlu from Alfa Marine Design noted its reliable performance and well-balanced engineering.
