Opera Viva: 10 Urban Art Interventions Across Italy
The Opera Viva initiative, organized by Associazione Flashback and overseen by Christian Caliandro, stems from a concept by Alessandro Bulgini and encompasses urban art projects throughout Italy. A group of ten emerging artists, under Bulgini's guidance, produced artworks in their respective hometowns, particularly in Turin's Barriera di Milano. Beatrice Sacco engaged the public in Largo Palermo through a collective drawing that invited people to share their stories. Marco Curiale's piece, 'Chissà dove?' at Bricocenter, displayed images of 50 individuals set against vacation scenes. Brenno Franceschi contributed a large painting and a tree crafted from African textiles. Additional works included Ado Brandimarte's sculptures in Ascoli Piceno, Sara Tosti's census in Civitella d'Arna, and Valentina Catano's project in Foggia. A concluding exhibition is scheduled for spring 2021.
