Opera Condivisa: 120 Artists Create Collective Installation at L'Aquila Botanical Garden
The collaborative art project 'Opera Condivisa: I Bastoni delle Sciamane' (Shared Work: The Shamans' Sticks) is on view at the Orto Botanico dell'Aquila (Botanical Garden of L'Aquila) until September 5, 2026. The sticks, arranged in a magical circle, evoke ritual spaces and symbolize the cycles of nature, while their verticality connects earth and sky. The project is inspired by Joseph Beuys's vision of social sculpture, emphasizing that every individual can creatively contribute to shaping the world. The installation is intended as a therapeutic space, where personal memories merge into a shared heritage, and it remains open, completing itself through the viewer's participation.
