Opentour 2022: Bologna's Art Academy Showcases Over 400 Students Across 29 Venues
Opentour, the format launched in 2015 by the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna to promote its students and connect them with galleries, returns with a record participation of 29 venues including galleries, non-profit spaces, and other public and private locations across the city. Curated this year by Carmen Lorenzetti and Giuseppe Lufrano, the core of the event is a large diffused exhibition organized in collaboration with the Associazione Gallerie d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea Confcommercio Ascom Bologna, running until June 26. Featuring works by over 400 current students and recent graduates (within the last two years) who lacked visibility during the pandemic, this year's edition introduces Cornerholic, a series of performative actions by students of the Sculpture Course led by artist Massimo Bartolini, taking place in various open and public spaces within a 15-minute walk from the academy in central Bologna.
