Open Studio Season 2 Features Six Italian Artists on Twitch

The second season of Open Studio, a format broadcast on Twitch and streamed on Artribune's channel every Monday at 19:00, continues to virtually open the studios of Italian artists to audiences. After Fabrizio Cicero, Narcisa Monni, and Cristiano Carotti, the new episodes feature Alice Paltrinieri, Jacopo Natoli, Guglielmo Maggini, Federico Carta (Crisa), and Simone Cametti. Alice Paltrinieri (Rome, 1987) works site-specifically from her home-studio in Portonaccio, focusing on space and connection with technological components activated by human presence. Jacopo Natoli (Rome, 1985), a member of the Post Ex collective in Centocelle, presented his multidisciplinary, experimental practice including 'Studio di un metro quadro,' a mobile workspace exploring paradoxical limits. Guglielmo Maggini (Rome, 1992), also from Post Ex, works with plastic materials like resin, demonstrating their chemical transformation from liquid to solid during the live stream. Federico Carta (Crisa) (Cagliari, 1984) started with graffiti and now creates introspective works on rough surfaces made with liquid asphalt and coffee, using subtraction to reveal personal symbols. Simone Cametti (Rome, 1982) emphasizes physical effort in his sculpture, using marble, neon, and wax, often undertaking long walks or sleeping in abandoned buildings to complete his projects.
