Open House Roma Returns with 200 Sites and New National Network

Open House Roma (OHR) returns for its ninth edition on October 2–3, 2021, opening around 200 architecturally significant sites across the city for free. After a forced pause in 2020, the event is curated by Laura Calderoni under the theme 'Battito Urbano' (Urban Beat). Director Davide Paterna highlights venues such as the revived Cinema Troisi, House of Dust, Casa delle Armi, and Foro Italico, alongside street art and private villas. For the first time, OHR joins with Open House Torino, Milano, and Napoli to form the Open House Italia network, with four consecutive weekends from September 18 to October 10. The collaboration includes the editorial project 'Trame Urbane' featuring writer Marco Missiroli, photographer Francesco Zizzola, filmmaker Marco Ponti, and writer Valeria Parrella. The network's directors are Luca Ballarini (Torino), Maja Plata (Milano), Stefano Fedele (Napoli), and Davide Paterna (Roma).
