architecture-design · 2026-04-27

In 2022, Open House makes a comeback in four Italian cities, offering complimentary guided tours of modern and contemporary architecture. Milan will hold its seventh edition on May 14–15, themed 'Città durevole' (Sustainable City), showcasing 100 locations, such as the MIND Milano Innovation District and private residences. Rome will mark its tenth edition on May 21–22, featuring 200 structures and 50 events, with an expansion to Ostia. Torino is set for June 11–12, followed by Naples on October 1–2. The Open House Italia network will be launched, and in June, cities will present 'Architetti Senza Tempo,' highlighting works by Gae Aulenti and others. Notable sites in Rome include the Scuola Ufficiali Carabinieri and a pavilion designed by Pier Luigi Nervi, with Laura Calderoni curating related festivities.
