Open call for Divago art project revitalizing Genoa's Via del Campo
Divago, a project conceived by three young Genoese artists—Silvia Mazzella, Arianna Maestrale, and Giulia Ottonello—in collaboration with UGA (Unione Giovani Artisti) and Pinksummer gallery, aims to culturally regenerate Via del Campo in Genoa's historic center. The street was made famous by Fabrizio De André's song. Following the Morandi Bridge collapse on August 14, 2018, the initiative seeks to restore the city's artistic dynamism. The zero edition took place from February 15 to 17, 2019, attracting 800 visitors to four unconventional spaces: a house, a restaurant warehouse, a former bar, and an architect's office near Chiesa della Maddalena. The first edition extends to the entire neighborhood, calling for site-specific works by artists under 35 from across Italy. The open call deadline is June 21, 2019. Selected artists will be judged by Divago's artistic committee with Pinksummer's collaboration. The exhibition, under the patronage of the Comune di Genova, will occur in October 2019.
