Open Call for Artists and Architects Under 35 to Design Work for Rome's Gazometro

In partnership with Eni and ROAD – Rome Advanced District, Spazio Taverna has initiated a Call for Ideas aimed at artists and architects under the age of 35 to create a new piece for the Gazometro creative district in Rome. This initiative was unveiled on May 21, 2026, at the ON THE ROAD – Distretti di Innovazione event. Participants are invited to design a monument, pavilion, or installation that interacts with the historical industrial site, which has housed ROAD and the Arte al Gazometro cultural program since 2024. A jury featuring Marco Bassan, Ludovico Pratesi (Spazio Taverna), Mattia Voltaggio (ROAD), Claudio Quaternato (Fondazione Cassa Depositi e Prestiti), and Lorenza Baroncelli (MAXXI Architettura) will select the winner, who will receive €3,000. The ten finalists will be featured in Artribune and will have access to the School of Vision Masterclass. Applications are free and must be submitted by July 31, 2026, through the official website. The announcement of finalists and the winner is set for September 2026. This project seeks to enhance the connection between art and business while tackling urban issues such as energy transition and sustainable mobility.
