OOIIO Arquitectura transforms abandoned kitchen factory into auto center in Leganés

OOIIO Arquitectura has converted an abandoned kitchen factory in Leganés, Spain, into a car dealership and repair center. The project reuses the existing structure, adding photovoltaic pergolas on the roof that generate enough energy to power the building and nearby constructions. Large ramps connect all floors, organizing vehicle circulation. The facade features white metal louvers on a mint-green substructure for passive solar control. Upper floors remain open for natural cross-ventilation, reducing cooling needs. Rainwater collection and exposed technical elements complete the sustainable design. The ground floor houses commercial areas and workshops, while upper levels store vehicles. Offices are on the first floor.
