Ono'U Festival: 7 New Murals in Papeete and 6 in Uturoa
Since its founding in 2014 by Tahiti New Generation, the Ono'U festival has become one of the largest street art events in the Pacific, with over 30 murals created. The latest edition in October 2017 saw 7 new murals in Papeete and 6 in Uturoa on Raiatea, featuring international street artists. The festival's name combines Tahitian words 'Ono' (uniting) and 'U' (colors), meaning 'reunion of colors'. Organizers are launching a guided tour called Papeete Street Art to showcase the works.
