One&Only Moonlight Basin Spa Opens in Montana's Rocky Mountains
The One&Only Moonlight Basin resort in Big Sky, Montana, opened in November 2025, featuring a 17,000-square-foot stand-alone spa with innovative treatments. The spa, described as a 'wellness temple' by director Michael McDonald, includes an atrium-encased saltwater pool, eight treatment rooms, and a fitness center. Architect Tom Kundig designed the property with rugged-elegant mountain aesthetics using wood, stone, and steel. Signature treatments include the 120-minute Recovery Ritual with CBD-infused oil and percussion therapy, and the Contour Facial with microdermabrasion and Lyma laser. The spa also offers an oxygen-bar relaxation room, open-air onsen, and cold plunge. Outdoor activities range from skiing to guided Yellowstone safaris. Accommodations include 73 rooms and suites across three lodges, plus 19 cabins and private homes. The spa is open to non-guests.
