OmA launches fourth edition of Venti>Quaranta contest for young artisans
The fourth edition of Venti>Quaranta, a contest for artisans aged 20-40, will be presented on May 27, 2017, during Preziosa 2017 Florence Jewellery Week in Florence, Italy. Organized by OmA – Associazione Osservatorio dei Mestieri d'Arte (based in Florence), the initiative has been running since 2011 to support young artisans, makers, designers, and hybrid professionals who create unique pieces using new technologies. The contest offers two prizes: the first-place winner will receive up to €5,000 (VAT included) for the realization of their business project, covered by OmA. The second-place winner will benefit from a guided business consultancy in marketing, communication, and economic-financial strategy, thanks to a collaboration with Euroteam Progetti, an intermediary body for the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program. Participants must register on the Venti>Quaranta portal and submit a detailed professional project by September 29, 2017, at midnight. A jury will evaluate applications and announce the winners by October 2017. Previous editions awarded projects in business promotion, advertising marketing, and product revaluation.
