Olympic Skier Lucas Pinheiro Braathen Launches Octo Sunscreen
Olympic gold medalist Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, the first Brazilian to win a Winter Olympics medal, has expanded his skincare brand Octo with a new SPF 60 sunscreen. The product, developed over 30 iterations tested during his ski races, contains only eight ingredients including zinc oxide and Amazonian botanicals. Octo was co-founded by Ted Gushue, Mads Hansen, and Adam Klausner. The sunscreen will first be distributed to Metropolitan Golf Association members in April 2026 before online sales in June. Pinheiro Braathen, who won gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics and another at the FIS Alpine World Cup in March 2026, sees the brand as a natural extension of his data-driven approach to sport.
