Olga Chernysheva's Panoramic Paintings Explore Soviet Circular Kinopanorama Legacy

Olga Chernysheva's artwork delves into spatial frameworks by examining geopolitical, social, and historical aspects, particularly focusing on remnants from the Soviet era. Her latest endeavor features paintings derived from moving visuals associated with the Circular Kinopanorama cinema at Moscow's VDNKh, which opened in 1959. This cinema utilized 22 synchronized 35mm projectors, a technology created by Professor Evsej Goldovsky following Walt Disney's demonstration at the 1958 Brussels World's Fair.
