Olbricht Collection's 'The Moment is Eternity' at Me Collectors Room Berlin

The Olbricht Collection, one of Europe's largest private collections, is showcasing works at its permanent venue Me Collectors Room Berlin, adjacent to the KW Institute for Contemporary Art. The exhibition 'The Moment is Eternity,' curated by Annette Kicken, explores the interplay between photography, rare specimens, and curiosities, drawing on the Wunderkammer tradition. The collection, assembled by Thomas Olbricht—an entrepreneur and endocrinologist inspired by his uncle Karl Ströher—features over sixty artists. Highlights include August Sander's typological portraits, Cindy Sherman's film stills, Helmut Newton's and Juergen Teller's sensual images, Nick Ut's iconic napalm girl photograph, and works by Lee Friedlander, Otto Steinert, Wolfgang Tillmans, Nicholas Nixon, Marlene Dumas, and Gerhard Richter. The exhibition runs until April 1, 2019, at Me Collectors Room Berlin, Auguststraße 68.
