Olafur Eliasson's VR-Infused Retrospective Opens at Palazzo Strozzi

Palazzo Strozzi in Florence presents 'Nel tuo tempo' (In Your Time), a major retrospective of Olafur Eliasson opening September 22, 2022. Curated by director Arturo Galansino, the exhibition features both known and new works, including the VR piece 'Your View Matter,' already accessible online. The VR experience, using a headset, takes visitors through six geometric spaces (tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, dodecahedron, cube, sphere) that change shape and color based on the viewer's movement and perspective, accompanied by a soundtrack composed by Eliasson. An NFT derived from 'Your View Matter' is commissioned by MetaKovan (Vignesh Sundaresan), the crypto art pioneer who bought Beeple's 'Everydays' for $69 million at Christie's. Eliasson will mint the NFT on the Polkadot platform, chosen for its lower environmental impact compared to Ethereum. The exhibition runs through January 22, 2023.
