Olafur Eliasson Launches 'Your Uncertain Archive' Digital Platform
Olafur Eliasson (Copenhagen, 1967) has launched 'Your uncertain archive', an interactive digital platform developed over four years using WebGL and three.js 3D technologies. The site, led by Daniele Massey and collaborators from Eliasson's studio, functions as a living archive that continuously expands. It features high-definition images, a magnetic polyhedron that follows user movement, and a green-light navigation system inspired by the artist's 'Green light – An artistic workshop' for refugees and migrants. The archive includes Eliasson's complete collection of works, drawings, exhibitions, public space projects, conversations, research, texts, and writings. The studio employs nearly a hundred collaborators divided among architecture, art history, philosophy, thirty artisans, and scientific researchers. Eliasson describes the platform as a 'reality production machine' designed to generate new content through proximity and contact.
