Olafur Eliasson launches #WeUsedTo digital platform during pandemic
On May 12, 2020, Danish artist Olafur Eliasson introduced the digital platform #WeUsedTo, aimed at collecting personal insights on perceptual transformations experienced before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Individuals are encouraged to share brief reflections on their evolving habits, thoughts, and aspirations, which are then reviewed for quality by a research team. This initiative involves Eliasson, his Studio Olafur Eliasson (SOE), the Interacting Minds Centre (IMC) at Aarhus University—featuring scientist Andreas Roepstorff—designer Alan Woo, and developer Daniel Massey. #WeUsedTo is part of the art-science project Experimenting, Experiencing, Reflecting (EER), supported by the Carlsberg Foundation, with workshops held at various institutions since 2018, involving a diverse range of contributors. Findings are disseminated to both researchers and the general public.
